Tom has more than 17 years' experience in the field of energy conservation and the optimization of HVAC systems. He is a graduate of Colorado State University in Mechanical Engineering, and a registered Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager and LEED-AP. He has overall responsibility for managing EMC¿s significant Commissioning (Cx) and Retro-commissioning (RCx) projects in the western region. He has extensive experience with K-12 and university facilities, commercial, institutional and healthcare buildings.
Tom is a member of the Building Commissioning Association (BCA) and a Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP). He is currently serving on the Board for the Southwest Chapter of the BCA. He is also highly involved with AEE (American Association of Energy Engineers), American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). His experience also includes diagnosing and optimizing energy efficient strategies for HVAC and control systems. Tom also has extensive experience in implementing energy and RCx projects to provide energy savings and improve thermal comfort for his clients.
