Session 1 — Introduction/Sustainable Sites
Session 2 — Water Efficiency/Energy & Atmosphere
Session 3 — Materials & Resources
Session 4 — Indoor Environmental Quality/Innovation and Regional Priority
The LEED Building Design and Construction (BD+C) exam tests a candidate's detailed knowledge of the suite of BD+C rating systems, including LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations, LEED Core & Shell Development, and LEED for Schools. This requires mastery of the requirements, key strategies, implementation and documentation contained within. Participants in this series will:
- Understand the application of LEED requirements in varying project circumstances
- Learn about the primary green building strategies that contribute to LEED credits
- Comprehend referenced standards and calculation methodologies for key LEED credits
- Receive advice on how to focus their study and use other resources effectively to prepare for the exam
This course is designed to provide an intensive and comprehensive review of the knowledge areas required for success on the exam. It is intended to bridge the gaps between other exam preparation resources such as the LEED BD+C Reference Guide and LEED AP BD+C Study Guide and provide interpretation and enhanced understanding of key information contained in these resources. To ensure that you can fulfill your needs as you prepare for the exam, these resources provide you with a variety of study tools, including individual and group learning activities, as well as review and practice questions that use the same format as those you will find on the actual exam.
Our instructors will share firsthand in-the-field experience in the successful implementation of LEED projects to bring the requirements to life for participants. This four-part training series will include a review of the key elements of each prerequisite and credit in the rating system and will use presentation and project examples to aid in understanding of concepts and retention of critical information. In addition to copies of the presentation materials, the handouts will contain supplemental study materials. Throughout the four-part course, the instructors will present sample exam questions to encourage questions and enhance knowledge retention.
