Payment Bond Statute Called Trap for Unwary

A payment bond statute required notice of claim to be delivered to the bonded contractor at the address listed on the bond itself. A subcontractor’s notice was inadequate when it was delivered to an address listed on the contractor’s website, subcontract form and correspondence with the subcontractor.
