Contractor Should Have Notified Owner of Quantity Overrun

A contractor on a unit-price project was aware that the owner’s quantity estimate greatly understated an item of work. The contractor breached the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing when it performed the increased quantity of work without notifying the owner. The contractor was not entitled to payment for that work.
