Lebanon, Tenn.-based Lochinvar has developed a library of drawings of its commercial and residential products that are fully configured for placement in Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 building information models. Architects, contractors, and designers using the 2010 edition of Revit software, which allows them to design with parametric modeling and drafting elements, can now download the pre-programmed, 3D Lochinvar equipment models at www.Lochinvar.com.
Lochinvar manufactures water heaters, boilers, pool heaters, and storage tanks. The library currently includes 26 drawings of Lochinvar models, such as the ARMOR Commercial Water Heater, KNIGHT XL Commercial Boiler, SHIELD Commercial Water Heater, SYNC Condensing Boiler, and the floor-standing KNIGHT Residential Heating Boiler. Additional models are in development and will be available for download in the near future, according to the company.
"After hearing from many of our customers who use Revit on a regular basis, we developed this library in response to their requests for Lochinvar components designed for use with the software," Lochinvar Executive Vice President Jeff Vallett said. "Now, they can complete their building designs more efficiently and effectively by having quick, easy, and free access to pre-programmed drawings of our high-efficiency equipment."
