This clever contractor uses a Bobcat with breaker attachment to not only cut up a concrete slab, but with no additional special tools, pick up the slab pieces and load them in a special dump truck. This sure beats the old days of a man with a jackhammer cutting the slab by hand, later breaking it up into smaller pieces, and then using a loader to move the broken pieces.
This is a win-win-win situation. A worker(s) is not standing out on the road at risk, performing a noisy and laborious task; the work is performed much faster, and the agility (and ingenuity) of the Bobcat operator to pick up the broken slabs eliminates the need for a piece of redundant equipment. Most likely, some preplanning or experimentation was involved to cut the slab pieces in just the right size for the Bobcat to handle. That's productivity AND improved safety!
