Massive Crawler Crane Assembles Bridge Across 369' Span
Engineers in Spain used a massive crawler crane to assemble a twin arch bridge as part of the new Southern Highway in Tenerife, one of Spain's Canary Islands. In addition to the arches themselves, the massive crane lifted the pre-fabricated deck frames onto the pre-installed arch hangars. Pre-fabricated slab forms were placed on top of the deck frames to receive poured concrete reinforced steel slabs and then the final asphalt roadway.
Here's a longer version of the video that shows more of the construction details. This is such a fascinating engineering and construction feat that readers will want to watch both.
