Now that we're on the subject of marketing, the Construction Marketing Ideas blog should be on the top of your list. Recent posts address business development, generating leads and making sales. Georgia Construction Boom Running Up Against Labor Shortages
In mid-August we referenced a post that addressed what's behind labor shortages, and two weeks ago we noted Georgia is one of the top ten states in construction job growth. Despite this, we now learn that metro Atlanta has made Georgia one of the state's with the largest shortfall. The Associated General Contractors of America says far more workers are leaving the industry than entering, according to this article at the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The article, which can be read here, notes that as much as one-third of the workers on the new Braves stadium never worked on a construction site before!
