EPA RELEASES DRAFT VOLUNTARY GUIDELINES FOR SELECTING SAFE SCHOOL LOCATIONS, PROVIDES NEW TOOLS FOR COMMUNITIES MAKING SCHOOL-SITING DECISIONS

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Nov. 17 released draft voluntary guidelines that are designed to help communities protect the health of students and staff from environmental threats when selecting new locations for schools. The guidelines address indoor air quality, among other issues.
