Project Owner Was Not Additional Named Insured on Contractor's CGL Policy

A construction contract did not expressly require the contractor to make the project owner an additional named insured party on the contractor’s commercial general liability (CGL) insurance policy. Consequently, an endorsement on the CGL policy did not take effect and the insurer had no duty to defend the owner in a suit by an injured worker.
