Engineer Affidavit Not Allowed on Architect Malpractice

A state statute mandating an “affidavit of merit” in support of a professional malpractice action required an affidavit from a like-licensed individual. A licensed professional engineer could not submit an affidavit in support of a malpractice claim against a licensed architect.
