Maxwell Systems Inc. a provider of construction business management software solutions, has introduced Maxwell Systems ProContractorMX Mobile Connect, which the company described as a comprehensive iPad application that provides project managers with “real-time access to critical project information.
“Available on the Apple App Store, ProContractorMX Mobile Connect gives project managers the ability to streamline business processes in the office and in the field and more profitably execute projects,” according to Maxwell.
Using ProContractorMX for project management, contractors can create, track, and manage project-related data and documents (i.e., RFIs, transmittals, submittals, emails) and, with its Mobile Connect app for iPad, they can access project documents and data, whether in the office, on the road, or at a job site, according to the King of Prussia, Pa.-based company. “Using the solution to manage project documents electronically, project managers have a consolidated virtual binder of all project-related information, which allows the business to minimize risks, stay on schedule, and maximize profitability on every project.
Maxwell considers ProContractorMX a “comprehensive, all-in-one construction management software solution that includes key capabilities for takeoff; estimating; bids and proposals; management of projects, financials, procurement, inventory, employees, payroll, and equipment; and intelligent dashboards and critical reports for timely analysis of projects or the overall business.”
Introduction of ProContractorMX Mobile Connect follows the release of ProContractorMX version 2.6, which offers new capabilities to help earthwork, sitework, and excavation contractors more quickly and accurately takeoff plans, and delivers a new module to help construction and service contractors manage inventory.
Among the capabilities and enhancements delivered in ProContractorMX 2.6 are the following, according to the company:
- Earthwork Measurements -- After importing digital CAD files, contractors now can import and select a contour line, and ProContractorMX automatically assigns elevations (existing and proposed); the solution also can automatically connect contour lines on plans. “Estimators are able to save significant time and dramatically improve accuracy during earth-measuring takeoff.”
- Inventory Management -- This new module provides an inventory system that can help construction and service contractors minimize tasks while maintaining adequate stocks of critical items.
