Building to LEED Standards Raises Home’s Resale Value
In a recent ConstructionDIVE blog post by Mary Tyler March, it was reported that in Texas, the resale value of those houses that were built to LEED standards increased an average of $25,000 compared to non-LEED homes in the state. The article cites the USGBC’s 2015 Green Building Economic Impact Study, which concludes that the trajectory of the green building sector of the U.S. construction industry is slated for expansive growth.
