More on Jobsite Safety: Caterpillar on Emerging Technologies

Last week, Marla McIntyre talked about safety vest, badge and hardhat wearable technology to improve worksite safety.  This week, drones, workplace safety and technology-assisted equipment applications are the subject of a blog post at the ConAppGuru site.  Caterpillar representatives Jason Hurdis and Tim Crane provide some specific insight on what these technologies will do.  Read why these technologies will reduce accidents and improve production -- it's all about sensors and data; check out the post here.


Positive Job Growth Reported by 39 States; Iowa, Georgia in Top Ten
Michael Kanell, writing on The Atlanta Journal-Constitution website, summed up a recent study by AGC on construction job growth.  Although Iowa was first percentage wise, Atlanta, number 10 on the list, added approximately the same number of new jobs but has 178,700 employed, almost twice as many as Iowa. Click here for Kanell's article.
