Mecca for construction equipment fans
We stumbled upon a site that sells model construction equipment — CCM (dba Classic Construction Models) — and found it totally fascinating. This week’s blog post announces the arrival of its Cat® D10T2 Models, which quickly sold out. Apparently, there’s an entire collector community out there along with at least one publication dedicated to the topic. Click here for the blog site.
A look at construction waste
Twenty four percent of the solid waste stream in the U.S. is reported to be construction waste, according to an infographic running in this week’s Construction Informer Blog. Both new and remodeling projects are contributors, but recent efforts being made to recycle fixtures, for example. But certainly modular construction can be a key contributor. Bonding to become easier for smaller contractors
At this week’s Procore Blog, Erica Konieczny explains how small construction companies should now find it easier to get surety bonds due to the recent signing of the National Defense Authorization Act of Fiscal Year 2016.
