Design-Build Done Right;
Design-Build Done Wrong

Presented by:
Michael Loulakis
Capital Project Strategies LLC

In this webinar, Michael Loulakis, chairman of the Design-Build Institute of America’s Committee on Best Practices, reveals the best and worst practices associated with the procurement, contracting, and execution of design-build projects. The program focuses on the recently published document entitled, “DBIA Best Design-Build Practices,” which was released for industry comment in August 2013 and has been the subject of much debate and dialogue in the AEC community.

This 90-minute, information-packed program will show proven best practices that will help you:

  • Understand when design-build should be used
  • Determine which procurement practices are likely to be successful, and which are likely to create challenges for all of the participants to the process
  • Recognize contracting practices that will impact the owner’s commercial interests
  • Learn which contracting practices should be used for those working by or through the design-builder
  • Review some post-award execution challenges that can affect design-build performance
  • And much, much more!
